30 Signs of Being a Mom

30 signs.pngThere are numerous ridiculous things we as mothers encounter on a daily basis, so ridiculous in fact that most sound like a joke. If they put this list on a job description I am 100% confident no one would apply…

You know you’re a mom when:

  1. you smell like puke but too tired to change
  2. you pick your kids boogers
  3. or ears
  4. you wipe their face with your shirt
  5. you don’t change the bath water after the baby pees
  6. you hold in a sneeze so your kid doesn’t wake up
  7. you don’t hold in your sneeze and pee a little
  8. you wear pajamas all day
  9. you have dry shampoo
  10. you can make dinner with one hand
  11. you can multi- task like a pro
  12. and can’t understand why your husband needs your help to change a diaper
  13. the only way you get outside some days is vicariously through Instagram
  14. a fresh supply of cleaning detergent is your ‘big splurge’
  15. you’ve had at least 1 cup of coffee with breakfast
  16. you can’t remember if you brushed your teeth today
  17. and don’t bother brushing your teeth when you remember you hadn’t yet because “it’s already past 1”.
  18. you get into your pajamas at 4
  19. you ignore the screams
  20. you clean the pacifier with your mouth
  21. laundry consists of a ‘sniff test’
  22. you’ve laughed and cried at the same time because the day has been so horrible there’s nothing else to do
  23. the laundry from 4 days ago is still sitting in your room
  24. you get dressed up to go to the grocery store
  25. you definitely have a hidden alter ego
  26. getting ‘dressed up’ means putting on eye makeup
  27. the pets are no longer your children
  28. your nails… oh those nails smh
  29. you’ve cried because you cherish these moment
  30. you have experienced all these things and still love every moment
